What has love done for me?
To answer that it would take pages upon pages to articulate just how much love has done for me. In reality, I'm sure if I really tried, then this page would be never-ending. If you know nothing about me, know that my life is an ongoing symphony of grace and love.
I'm not saying this because I've had the smoothest path, in fact quite the opposite. I've been hurt, heartbroken, left alone and deserted in my own mind. But, I have also hurt alot, and have been the one doing the heartbreaking. We all find ourselves on one side or the other. It's a lonely place trying to live life alone, and it's even lonlier living with no purpose.
All of my adolesence I played sports, went to school, hung out with friends and that was pretty much it.
I always knew there was more.
As I grew older I went to college, learned some new hobbies, made some new connections, lost a lot too.
I've always longed for more.
In the deepest depths of my soul, I know there is more. I know the world doesn't just keep spinning, and we don't keep rinsing and repeating the same cycles of life for nothing. Our Comfort Space is about the more of life. And we believe that more is love. That one thing we desperately need.
My life holds no purpose apart from love!
I never liked the idea of only ever doing one thing, so Our Comfort Sapce will be an outpour of all the ways in which we can be touched, held, enlightened, embraced, by the comforting truth of a life lived in love.

What has love done to me?
My name is Valerie, but you can call me Val. I’m one of the founders of Our Comfort Space and I’m so excited you’re here. The mission to create something with a purpose bigger than myself has always been a dream of mine. I have always lived my life chasing the things that make my soul light up with love, selflessness, and passion. When I was eight, my passion was given to the art of acting, and it remained a part of my lifestyle until I was 18. When I was 15, my passion in advocating for inclusion of people with special needs grew, and that has stayed with me ever since. At 17 years old, I began making videos, and I still hold that passion with me today. It has become my greatest artistic outlet and I cannot wait to share it with everyone at Comfort Space. Something I discovered from a young age was that the most fulfilling thing I could do is live out a life of selflessness, so it became something I have always chased. Needless to say, I am far from perfect and have had weak moments in my life where selflessness was not the driving force. I’m still learning how to live selflessly more and more everyday. In highschool, my passion for the Gospel of Jesus Christ grew immensely and when I graduated high school, I went on a gap year mission trip. Instantly I knew that my life was meant to be dedicated to others. I knew I had been called by God to live out my life in love; to go out in joy and be led forth in peace, sharing the treasures I have found in Christ with the world. This is what I hope to bring to Our Comfort Space. A place for all people to come and experience the love of God, to feel comfortable and not afraid to ask questions you may have, and a place to feel understood, less alone, and loved. Thank you for reading, Val :) stay awhile!
